Out with Friends

We hung out with our friends Heather and Natalie today. We played for a little while at the house and then headed to Trudy's for lunch. I didn't break out the camera until long after being there and the girls were already VERY ready to go, as you can tell from the blurriness (is that even a word??) and no good shots to be had! Natalie also decided that she'd like to "reach out and touch" our neighbor. Luckily that neighbor thought it was pretty amusing! Despite the fact we didn't get any good snapshots, we did have a good time!

More Backyardin' It

She can't get enough of these things right now! It's just so cute to watch her from afar climb up, sit down, slide and do it all over again and again all the while talking to herself! She's getting so big, so fast!

Walking Backwards

For some reason today she decided she was going to try to walk backwards. Over and over again. She thought it was the funniest thing! I finally pulled out the camera and wouldn't ya know she stopped. I got a little of it...

Eva's 1st Birthday Party!

What a great party at Little Stacey park in Travis Heights! Ella had a blast climbing the equipment, eating cake and getting really filthy. She especially liked checking out all of Eva's new digs.

Town Lake

We took a stroll around Town Lake and stopped halfway to watch the swans and boats go by. The ducks were uninterested in the bread we had to offer since we were the 1,000th passersby with duck food that day...

Climbing, Sliding and Swinging

She got the hang of the other slide this afternoon. She only did it about 89 times before getting tired of it. Then Pop taught her how to swing on the big kid swing. She did pretty good until she let go and realized quickly that it's pretty scary to keep going with no hands!

Happiest Outside

She discovered she could climb the stairs and go down the slide in the backyard. Now these things will finally get some use and not just kill the grass for no reason!

MELTDOWN!

Despite the photo, where she looks like she's in a relatively good mood, the video reveals a much darker side of Miss Diva Ella. It was getting to be bedtime and she was awfully clingy and moody.

Backyardin' It

This afternoon we spent some time in the backyard watering plants, playing in the sand and butterfly watching. Ella also had her first taste of hummus which she really dug, as you can tell from her face!

Baby Shower

After taking Lynn family pictures for Gram and Pop's anniversary at Herman Park in the morning, we headed to a shower at Shelly and Baby Lauren's house on our way back to Austin Sunday afternoon. It was fun to see everyone, but we were ready to get home after a very full weekend.

Naked Baby Girl!

Pre and post bath time Mama was brave and let Ella "air it out". She really likes to run around naked... Should I be worried?

Wagon Ride

Although Miss Ella has a double ear infection and a minor case of Pink Eye right now, we had to get out of the house for a bit today. We took a ride around the block in the wagon and stopped to look at some pretty flowers. She really did have fun despite what her expression might look like!

Paging Dr. Ella Fleming

Pop would be so proud! He's been trying to convince one of us to go into medicine. He finally got his wish! But I guess it'll be a few more years until it's actually official...
