Visiting Friends

Ella and I went to visit Auntie Dana, Noah and Vivian this afternoon. We had a great time eating cookies and listening to Noah's great imaginitive stories about being on a boat and airport firetrucks. He even gave us some flowers as a nice parting gift!

Uncle Tim's Birthday

Granny, Popo, Aunts Michelle and Heather, Parker and Uncle Spencer came into town to celebrate Uncle Tim's birthday. After lunch at Shady Grove we headed to the fountains across from Town Lake. Once again we weren't in the right attire, but it was fun all the same!

Weekend Photo Shoot

Today Jen and Ande came into town to shoot some photos of Miss Ella for the cover of the Houston Branch of the International Dyslexia Association's yearly publication. We had a great time trying to get "unposed" shots. We spent time in her room reading books and then drove to find some Bluebonnets. Ande got some great shots of her and was nice enough to burn me a cd of a few of my favorites after we got back from eating lunch at Hula Hut. I wish I could post them all since they are so fun, but here's just a sampling of the wonderful shots he got!

Hanging by the Pool

Ella and I went to hang out at Auntie Sarah's fabulous pool in the nice weather we've been having lately. It was a little windy, so no swimming, but enjoying the view and grilling out was fun. Papa even surprised us by coming back home from work early and showing up!

She he's finally in the big tub regularly and loves it just as much as the sink!

Ella's Easter

We drove to Granny's in San Antonio in time to eat lunch and open all her Easter gifts before the big hunt. She had such a great time egg hunting! I didn't think she was going to be into it since the last 2 trial run egg hunts didn't go over very well. She was more interested in finding one egg and focusing on it or filling her basket with other items, but she did so well! Although she needed a little help to locate the eggs she was all over picking them up and putting them in the basket. Now if only that basket would hold onto the eggs every time she bent over...

In the Fountains

Ella, Auntie Sarah and I went to take a stroll around Town Lake and we ventured over to take a look at the "dancing" fountains by the new performing arts theater. It was really neat! At night they are lit up and the lights and water put on a show, sorta like the fountains at the Bellagio in Vegas. Ella was a little scared at first of water popping up randomly out of the ground, but after a bit she loved it. She was soaked by the time we cruised back across the street to continue the walk. Next time we'll have to wear a bathing suit. I had forgotten my camera in the car, so all we had to capture the moment was my phone : )

Luvs the Tub!

Spending Time with Family

Kevin was working and I had a dentist's appointment so Granny, Aunt Michell, Uncle Spencer and cousin Parker and his friend Kayla came into town to hang out with Miss Ella.

Goodbye Overalls!

We have loved these overalls for a very long time now and we are having to retire them today as they won't stay snapped any longer. We are so sad!

Cleaning Up?

Spring Break

We had some friends over for lunch. Ella and Eva had a great time playing in the sandbox and roaming the yard!

Cousin Ethan's 1st Birthday

Ella and I drove to Houston to celebrate Ethan's very first birthday! It's hard to believe it's already been a year. We walked down to the neighborhood park and played on the playground then joined the Easter eggs hunt with the neighborhood kiddos. It was a big day for everyone! Ella fell asleep in the car on the way back to Gram and Pop's house that evening.

Finally Walking!!!

Ella has decided to walk and is now unstoppable! She is too funny with her hands and arms up in the air for balance. She is tickled pink with herself - and so are Mommy and Papa!

Already Addicted

She's already following in her father's footsteps and is "on the phone" all the time...
